This is my cousin Dave, I had this vision as soon as I saw him driving his flat black Buick....that I NEEDED to take pictures of him. We took a drive in the infamous Buick, and headed to search for the perfect spot. I believe we found it, because I loved the ideas Dave had for these pictures. He knew what he wanted and because of that, I feel like these pics capture him to the fullest. Such a fun day taking pics with my cuz...love you Dave.

First of all....I am completely in love with Lanikai beach, and my lovely new friends. Such a funny story how I met Elyse...(the beautiful girl in these pics) my cousin David introduced us at a Breath of Fire concert at first Friday...simply because we shared the same name :) It has been so fun getting to know Elyse...in the fast few days we have discovered that....for starters, we are both proud Elises/Elyses....secondly, she is stunningly photogenic....AND third, we are both left handed! What are the chances?! I am sure there are many more great things I have yet to learn about this amazing girl.
The boys in the photo on the beach are in the band I just mentioned called Breath of Fire. Danny (the one on the right) I met through David also. I call him my "Broomie" because he is practically my bro now....and he is my roomie, so there ya go...Broomie. His brother Jai is the one playing guitar on the left. He has been trying to teach me how to play a Jack Johnson song on the guitar for the past few days....I need a little more practice. ughh. These brothers are great musicians, and even better friends :)

Wow....are you ready for this awesomely old school 80's skate sesh! I met Hershey and Mikey through Elyse last weekend. so basically all of these pics are a progression of friends that I have met in the last 11 days. Hershey has been teaching me how to surf the past few mornings! I really admire the patience he has....seriously. It was not pretty the first time I paddled out. This process included drinking about 10 gallons of salt water, around 17 waves crashing over my head, and feet scraping the reef....he kept with it and finally got me up on a wave, Yeah!! Best feeling ever....I think while I was passing by him I screamed "I'M SURFING!!"
I was amazed at these guys' talent and passion for skating. I was so fun getting to hang out and take some bright crazy fun pics of them completely in their element. These guys can rip. Glad I got a chance to shoot these.
headed to Starbucks now. hope you enjoy the pics. If you would like some pictures taken, you can email me at: elise.gire5@yahoo.com
